With pressure-treated lumber, concrete-set posts and proper drainage, most wood privacy fences we install give 15 to 20 years of service. The posts almost always fail before the pickets do, which is why we spend the extra time setting them correctly.
Very often, yes. If the posts are still solid, replacing damaged pickets, rails and hardware restores the run for far less than a full replacement. We will tell you honestly at the estimate which sections are worth saving.
Yes. Gate repair is one of our most requested calls. Usually the frame has racked out of square or the hinge hardware was undersized for the gate weight. We re-square the gate, re-hang it and fit hardware rated for the load.
